A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Liat is a choreographer, dancer, and educator based in Kansas City. In 2021, she graduated cum laude from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance and Choreography and a minor in Visual Art and Communication. Liat has been teaching at the Lawrence Arts Center since 2021, where she began serving as Artistic Director of the Lawrence Ballet Theatre in 2026. In addition to teaching, she has performed around Kansas City with groups such as City in Motion Dance Theater and Quixotic, appeared as a guest artist across the region, and produced several stage productions and dance films of her own.
